Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid floral tributes to the founder of folk art ‘Nacha’ late Dau Dular Singh Mandraji and freedom fighter late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant, on their birth anniversary on Friday, at his residence. Recalling the invaluable contribution of Dau ji in preserving the Chhattisgarhi folk art, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Dau Mandraji devoted his entire life to revive and preserve ‘Nacha’. He made dance a medium to raise public awareness about social evils.
Baghel said that Dau ji played an important role in bringing together the folk artists and in establishing Chhattisgarhi folk dance ‘gammat’ on global platform. State Government bestows Dau Dular Singh Mandraji Award to honor such a true seekers of art.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel remembered the freedom fighter and popular politician Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant, saying that his entire life was dedicated to serving humanity. Mr. Mahant rendered his invaluable services for the development of the state as MLA and minister in undivided Madhya Pradesh. Hasdeo Bango Irrigation Project was his dream that came true. He conducted various development works related to agriculture, irrigation and roads in the area for the betterment of the people. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that inspired by the ideals of Late Shri Bisahu Das Mahant, State Government is committed to the development of Nava Chhattisgarh.
