Trainee IAS officials pay courtesy call

IAS trainee officials paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel recently at his residence office. During the meeting, Chief Minister explained the theme of Suraaji Gaon Yojana and suggested them to make models of each project under this scheme that is being implemented in respective districts.
It is known that orientation training of IAS (2018 batch) officials is going on in Chhattisgarh Administration Academy. Chief Minister informed the trainee IAS officials in detail about ‘Narva, Garva, Ghurva and Badi’ development and conservation and advised them to do regularly field visits. Field visits not only add to the experience and but also enhance knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
Chief Minister said that Suraaji Gaon Yojana will improve rural economy. It will not only improve agriculture, but will also create employment and improve environment. Backyard farming will also help in reducing malnutrition. ‘Ghurva’ will promote organic farming.
Chief Minister said that reviving of ‘Narva’ should be done in a scientific manner. He said that ISRO has developed all kinds of land-related data, which will be utilized for this purpose. This will help in surface water conservation, increase in water-level in rivers, and prevent drying up of handpumps. Chief Minister also underlined the importance of rainwater harvesting.
