
Rs 96 crore 59 lakh worth Paali-Silli road up-gradation
LED bulbs distributed to 744 tribals’ families

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh yesterday dedicated, performed ‘bhumipoojan’ and laid the foundation stones of 54 developmental works worth Rs 109 crore at village Madanpur district Korba as a part of State-wide Atal Vikaas Yatra.
He was addressing a mammoth public meeting at the village. The developmental works include Paali-Silli road (21.50 km) upgradation to be laid at a cost of Rs 96 crore 59 lakh . He also distributed relief materials and cheques to about 10 thousand 649 beneficiaries of various social welfare schemes of the State Government. Labour and Youth Development Minister Mr. Bhaiyyalal Rajawade, MP Dr.Banshilal Mahato, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Lakhan Dewangan, former Home Minister Mr. Nankiram Kanwar and former Assembly Deputy Speaker Mr. Banwarilal Agrawal were also present.
Dr. Raman Singh dedicated -Rs 37 lakh 39 thousand Urga-Food warehouse road, Rs 20 lakh worth bridge on Kolga-Baghmaada road and Rs 10 lakh worth bridge at village Taraimaardih. He laid the foundation stones of a Government Higher- Middle School building worth Rs One crore 34 lakh at village Kudhmura, Beharchhuwa, Rs 71 lakh worth laboratoty at Balco-based Government Girls Higher-Middle School, Rs Two crore ‘Nal-Jal’ project at village Lakhanpur, Devgaon, Madhwani and Pakriya, Rs Three crore 60 lakh community building, road, bridges and a gram panchayat building.
Chief Minister distributed relief materials and cheques to 10 thousand 649 beneficiaries of several State Government projects-744 LED bulbs to Pahadi Korba and Birhor tribals and under MGNREGA tiffins to 9772 labourers, nets and ice-boxes to fishermen, vegetable seeds’ kit to farmers , financial assistance to farmers, marriage incentive assistance to differently-abled persons, tri-cycles to differently-abled citizens, hearing instruments, bonus to tendu-patta collectors, footwear, domestic cooking gas connections under the Prime Minister ‘Ujjwala’ scheme, Smart cards under Chief Minister Health Insurance and laptops to ‘bank sakhis’.
