51 students of IIT, NIT and Medical College receive laptops at hands of Chief Minister

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel felicitated talented students of tribal community at the programme organized at Indoor Stadium of capital city Raipur to mark International Day of World’s Indigenous Day.
He awarded laptops to 51 students studying in various IIT, NIT, Medical Colleges of the country. Baghel also felicitated 10 candidates selected for various government services under Yuva Career Nirman Yojana, in the programme.
On the occassion, cultural troupes from Gariaband, Kanker, Jashpur staged mesmerizing performances. In the programme, people of tribal community took a pledge to conserve their culture and traditions.
When Chief Minister was giving away laptops to the students, one of them requested for selfie with him. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel sportingly took the mobile phone from his hand, and clicked a selfie with him, capturing the memorable moment.
In the programme, Chief Minister felicitated seven students of Eklavya Adarsh Vidyalay for winning gold and bronze medals in national-level sports tournaments.
Chief Minister distributed goods to beneficiaries under antyavsayi schemes. Tribal Development Department also felicitated the talented students of tribal community studying in universities and other institutions.
The programme was presided over by Tribal Caste, Scheduled Caste, OBC, and Minority Welfare Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam. On the occasion, Urban Development Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahariya, Industry Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Food Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, MLA Mr. Mohan Markam and Mr. Shishupal Sori were present as special guests.
