Chhattisgarh: Naxals beat tribal youth to death

Continuing their brutality, a group of naxals beaten a tribal youth to death after branding him as a police informer in insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
The 25-year-old victim has been identified as Sonu, police said, elaborating that he was beaten to death by naxals with sticks in forest falling in limits of Polampalli police station area.
According to police, Sonu was heading towards his native village from Dornapal in a passenger bus. Between Polampalli and Kankerlanka, sangham members of Maoists had stopped the bus following which Sonu alighted from the vehicle and fled towards the forest. Insurgents chased him inside the forest and beaten him to death with sticks before fleeing from the spot.
After being informed about the incident, security personnel rushed to the spot to undertake investigation at the crime scene. The body of the youth has been recovered and a search operation was launched in the region to nab the attackers, police informed.
