Chhattisgarh: 3 Maoists gunned down by security forces in Sukma

Raipur, June 15

A joint team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) today gunned down three Maoists in insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, police said.

The encounter took place in Chintagufa area of the district, added police.

According to police, based o precise tip-off about presence of ultras, security personnel launched a search operation and while the exercise in Chintagufa, ultras opened fire on them. Following the firing from naxals’ side, security personnel launched a retaliatory action.

During the course of search, security personnel recovered bodies of slain rebels along with four fire arms.
