CG Police claims of eliminating ultras in encounter

Chhattisgarh police claimed to have gunned down few ultras in an encounter took place in the state’s insurgency-hit Sukma district.
The encounter took place in restive forest patches falling in limits of Kukanar police station late on yesterday evening, added police.
As per information received, following an input about presence of around 20 insurgents in forest close to village Jongeras in Kukanar police limits, troopers of Special Task Force (STF) swung into action. When the security personnel reached hilly area close of the village, rebels opened indiscriminate firing prompting security personnel to launch a retaliatory action. Unable to withstand the firing, ultras fled the spot of encounter.
During the course of search at the spot, security personnel spotted blood stain at the spot, which indicates damages on naxal side, police informed.
Police further informed that seven bags with daily consumable materials, four black coloured uniforms, three detonators, some IED making materials, naxal literatures, medicines, BP checking machine and other stuffs.
In a wake of the encounter, security personnel have intensified operations in the region.
