Chhattisgarh Government’s Women and Child Development Department is conducting Nava Bihaan Yojana for implementation of Domestic Violence (Prevention) Act 2005. For this scheme, Rs 4 crore 58 lakh has been provisioned in the budget of year 2017-18. It is noteworthy that women victims of domestic violence are provided medical aid, shelter, required support and counseling etc under Nava Bihaan Yojana. As per the provisions of the law, 21 organizations have been scheduled as service providers under the scheme.
