Dantewada and Bastar district administration in association with TEDx PANDRI and UNEXPLORED Bastar recently hosted ‘Bastar Innovation Conference 2017’ in South Bastar Range.
The innovation conference in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit region witnessed active participation of students, entrepreneurs and youths from different parts of the country. The recently concluded innovation conference was hosted with an objective to present clear picture about the prevailing scenario and opportunities in sectors including tourism, health, education, arts & crafts in Bastar region.
“I had an opportunity to inform the conference’s participants that the security situation in Bastar is transforming and is getting more conducive for investment in various projects. I also briefed them about the efforts being taken by the local administration in all the districts of Bastar Range in the social sector like health, education and other infrastructure developmental activities,” Bastar Range DIG Sundar Raj P.
Although, the conference was a small event but firm initiative in the direction of projecting the tremendous economic opportunities available in Bastar, pointed DIG.
During the three day conference which started in Dantewada, the participants were taken to educational city in Jawanga, Barsur, Dolkal hills,Chitrakot etc to witness various initiatives taken by localities and District administration in Bastar region, informed the officer.
