
Chhattisgarh State Commission of Child Rights Protection organizes Daylong training of Bal Mitaan and Child Rights Champions

Chhattisgarh State Commission of Child Rights Protection today organized a daylong training programme for Bal Mitaan and Child Rights Champions in its Civil Lines, Raipur based office. It is noteworthy that Commission has identified individuals in every district, who are doing excellent works for protection of child rights, and felicitated them as Bal Mitaan, Bal Mitra and Child Rights Champions. Chairman of the Commission Mrs. Prabha Dubey told that participation of the society is necessary for protecting rights of the children. The commission has taken this step to encourage participation of people in this cause. The daylong training workshop has been organized to inform these Bal Mitra, Bal Mitaan and Child Rights Champion about various legal rights of a child.
This workshop was attended by individuals and representatives of the organizations working in the field of Child Rights Protection in Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Balod and Balodabazar districts. Mrs. Prabha Dubey said in her address to the attendees that participation of each individual is important for protection of child rights. Mrs. Dubey informed the attendees about the work procedure, about Bal Chaupal and about how children in rural areas are being informed about their legal rights. In this programme, Commission Secretary Mr. Nandlal Choudhary gave information about Meri Awaz Mobile Application, Juvenile Act, POCSO Act. The programme was also attended by Commission Members Mrs. Indira Jain and Ms T Shyama.
