Raipur, July 17
Chhattisgarh Government’s Mineral Resources Department, by issuing an order in exercise of the powers conferred by Chhattisgarh District Mineral Foundation Trust Rules 2015, has determined the areas affected by the operations related to the mine clusters as follows. The entire area of South Bastar Dantewada, Bastar, Bijapur, Sukma, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, North Bastar Kanker has been declared as the area affected by the operations of iron ore mine cluster located under District South Bastar Dantewada.
Distribution of the trust funds to be received from the mentioned mines would be done as follows- 30 percent to Dantewada South Bastar, 20 percent to Bastar, 17 percent to Bijapur, 15 percent to Sukma, 7 percent to Narayanpur, 7 percent to Kondagaon and 4 percent to North Bastar Kanker.
Similarly, the entire area of Balod, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Dhamtari has been declared as the area affected by the iron-ore mine cluster located under Balod district. The distribution of trust fund from iron ore mines located under Balod district has been fixed at 50 percent in Balod district, 20 percent in Rajnandgaon, 20 percent in Durg and 10 percent in Dhamtari.
Declaring the entire area of Korba, Janjgir-Champa, Bilaspur, Jashpur, Mungeli, Bemetara, Kabirdham, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi as the area affected by the coal mine cluster located under district Korba, distribution of the trust fund received from the coal mine cluster has been fixed at 50 percent in Korba district, 20 percent in Janjgir-Champa, 13 percent in Bilaspur, 5 percent in Jashpur, 4 percent in Mungeli, 3 percent in Bemetara, 3 percent in Kabirdham and 2 percent in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi. Declaring the entire area of Koriya, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi as the affected area for coal mining located under district Koriya, 90 percent distribution of trust fund has been allocated to Koriya district and 10 percent to Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district. Declaring the entire area of Raigarh, Jashpur, Mahasamund district as the area affected by coal mine cluster located under Raigarh district, distribution of trust fund received from the mining area has been decided as follows- 70 percent for Raigarh district, 15 percent for Jashpur district, 15 for Mahasamund district.
Similarly, while declaring the entire area of Balodabazar, Raipur as the area affected by the mining of major mineral limestone in Balodabazar district, 80 percent of the trust fund received from the mining area has been allocated to Balodabazar district and 20 percent has been allocated to Raipur district.
