After Durg District Hospital, 3 more district hospitals of Chhattisgarh gets NBEMS accreditation to start DNB Courses

Raipur, Kanker and Surajpur district hospitals gets accreditation for DNB course

A total of 12 DNB seats approved in 4 district hospitals of Chhattisgarh

In yet another major milestone for the Health and Medical Education Department in Chhattisgarh, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has approved a total of eight DNB seats for Raipur, Kanker and Surajpur district hospitals.

The scope of medical education is increasing in the state with the efforts of Health and Medical Education Minister Mr. TS Singh Deo. The number of DNB seats is continuously increasing in the government hospitals of the state due to the presence of specialist doctors in district hospitals and quality treatment provided to the patients. After Durg District Hospital, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), New Delhi has granted accreditation for Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses D.N.B. to Raipur, Kanker and Surajpur district hospitals. All these hospitals have been granted permission for running this course for duration of five years. Raipur District Hospital has been granted a total of six seats including three in pediatrics, two in obstetrics and gynecology and one in family medicine. The accreditation to start these courses has been granted for five years starting from January 2022 to December 2026.

Besides, Kanker District Hospital has got approval for one seat in Ophthalmology (from January 2022 to December 2026) while Surajpur District Hospital has got approval for one seat in Gynecology and Obstetrics (from January 2021 to December 2025). Meanwhile, Durg District Hospital has already been granted four of DNB seats including two each in Pediatrics and ENT by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
