Chhattisgarh: Seven Naxals killed in encounter with security forces in Bijapur

Security forces have gunned down as many as seven Maoists, including two women rebels, in an encounter took place in insurgency-hit Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh today.

A team of District Police was on a search operation in Ilmidi area of Bijapur district. The encounter took place in hills of Aipenta and Marimalla near Telangana border.

The bodies of seven Maoists were recovered from the spot. Police also recovered large number of weapons, including 6 rocket launchers, one self-loading rifle, one 303 rifle, one revolver and three hand grenades. In this encounter, three police personnel were also injured.
