Shrimant wins gold medal in Arm Wrestling

An employee of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) Shrimant Jha has secured first place and wins gold medal in the 24th Senec Hand International Arm Wrestling World Cup Championship which was held at Senec, Slovakia (between 7 April and 9 April, 2017). He played in 70 Kg (Left Hand) category and won Gold Medal. This is his first gold medal victory in International level competition.

Only 2 players had been selected to represent India in the 24th Senec Hand International Arm Wrestling World Cup Championship. Apart from the above, Jha had represented India in many International Level Championship and won medals as per the details mentioned below:
1) Secured 10th position in World para arm wrestling in 2013 (Poland).
2) Secured 2nd position in World para arm wrestling in 2014 (Poland).
3) Secured 3rd position in World para arm wrestling in 2015 (Malasiya).
4) Secured 8th position in World para arm wrestling in 2016 (Bulgaria).
5) Secured 4th position in Asia para arm wrestling in 2016 (Uzbekistan).

He has also won 6 consecutive national level para arm wrestling championship. Jha owe his success to the company and his parents who have always inspired him to move forward in his mission.
