
In a tragic incident, three persons including a woman and her minor son, were charred to death when fire broke out in a wooden house in Chhattisgarh’s capital late on last night, police said today.
The incident took place at a godown located in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Timber market falling in limits of Khamtarai police station, added police.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Jai Rajwade (40), his wife Seema (35) and their son Aman (11). Jai Rajwade, who hails for Ambikapur, was watchman of the godown (where incident took place). Exact cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained but prima-facie it seems that fire break out from firewood stove.
Additional District Magistrate Renuka Shrivastav informed that a compensation of Rs 4 lakh for each of the deceased will be given to their kin under the provision 6-4 of Revenue Book Circular.
