Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has extended hearty greetings and congratulations to people on 20th Foundation Day of five districts of Chhattisgarh on July 6. He said that North Bastar (Kanker), South Bastar (Dantewada), Kabeerdham (Kawardha), Mahasamund and Dhamtari districts have achieved many prestigious achievements in every area of socio-economic development, within short span of 20 years of their formation. Dr Singh said- in past 14 years, various government schemes have brought prosperity in lives of people in these districts and has created a better environment. All five districts have made commendable progress in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, electricity, road, clean drinking water, school education, higher education, technical education, vocational training, public health and medical services etc. People of these districts have enthusiastically participated in implementation of priority schemes of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi such as Jan-Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ujala Yojana, Clean India Mission etc. Dr Singh expressed hope that in near future all these districts will set many more milestones of success in their development journey and will reach the heights of success. It is known that these five districts were formed on July 6, 1998.
