Chhattisgarh Science and Technology Council establishes Patent Facilitation Centre in Raipur

Raipur, 9 January 2018

Patent Facilitation Centre has been established at Science Centre near Vidhan Sabha Road of in capital city Raipur under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology to help the researchers of educational and industrial institutions of the State to apply for Patents for their novel and innovative research outcomes.

Officials informed that apart from patent filing, this centre is also helping in filing for copyright, trademark, design, geographical indicators and other forms of Intellectual Properties. Centre is receiving good response from institutions and number of patent filings has increased in recent past. Many awareness programmes and lecture series are being held in Universities and Colleges of the State to bring awareness among students and teaching community about importance of protecting their intellectual property and the method and legal process which are to be observed while filing patents at designated patent office.
