DRG eliminate two ultras in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma

Raipur, September 18: Security personnel have gunned down two ultras in insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.

The encounter took place in forest falling in limits of Golapalli police station limits late on last night, police informed, adding that weapons were also recovered from the spot of encounter.

As per information received, a team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) was undertaking anti-naxal exercise was targeted by Maoist when they reached operation Rasantong forest. When security personnel launched retaliatory action naxals fled the spot.

While undertaking search at the spot of encounter, DRG troopers recovered bodies of two ultras in uniform. Besides, DRG also recovered a 12 bore gun, one muzzle loading gun, 13 detonators, one radio set, one wireless set, codex wire, couple of batteries, solar plates and other articles.
