State Government has declared 96 tehsils of 21 out of 27 districts as drought-affected, on the basis of ‘najari anaawari’ of kharif crop 2017, due to scanty rainfall in state. In these drought affected tehsils, State Government has waived off the land revenue, under section 144 of Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code 1959 in drought-affected tehsils. Revenue and Calamity Management Department has issued order in the context on September 13 Wednesday from Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan).
As per the orders issued, land revenue of Raipur, Aarang, Abhanpur, and Tilda of Raipur district, Balodabazar, Simga, Bhatapara, Kasdol, Bilaigarh and Palari of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, Gariaband, Chhura and Mainpur of Gariaband district, Kurud, Magarlod, Nagri and Dhamtari of Dhamtari district, Mahasamund, Pithora, Baghbahara, Saraipali and Basna of Mahasamund district, Paatan, Durg and Dhamdha of Durg district, Daundilohara, Daundi, Gurur and Gunderdehi of Balod district, Saja, Thankhamhariya, Navagarh, Berla and Bemetara of Bemetara district, Chhuikhadan, Khairagarh, Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, Ambagarh Chowki, Mohla, Manpur, Dongargaon and Chhuriya tehsils has been waivered off.
State Government has also waived off the land revenue of Kawardha, Pandariya, Bodla and Sahaspur Lohara of Kabeerdham district, Farasgaon, Maakdi, Keshkaal and Baderajpur area of Kondagaon district, Dantewada, Geedam, Katekalyan, Kuakonda and Bade Bacheli of South Bastar (Dantewada), Kanker, Charama, Narahpur, Bhanupratappur, Antagarh, Pakhanjur, and Durgukondal of Bastar (Kanker) district, Bilaspur, Bilha, Masturi, Pendra, Marwahi, Kota and Takhatpur tehsils of Bilaspur district, Mungeli, Pathariya and Lormi of Mungeli district, Jaijaipur, Akaltara, Baloda and Dabhra of Janjgir-Champa district, Pali of Korba district, Raigarh, Sarangarh, Dharamjaigarh, Pusaur, Baramkela and Tamnaar of Raigarh district, Baikuthpur, Sonhat, Manendragarh, Khadgawa and Bharatpur of Koriya district, Narayanpur and Orchha of Narayanpur district, Bijapur, Bhairamgarh, Bhopalpatnam and Usoor tehsils of Bijapur district.
