Under Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY), State Government’s Women and Child Development Department has benefitted 11662 women. Rs 4 crore 61 lakh have been spent under the scheme. It is noteworthy that Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana has been implemented in three districts of the state- Bastar, Kondagaon and Dhamtari. Main objective of this scheme is to improve nutrition level of pregnant women and provide reimbursement of their wages. Under this scheme, beneficiaries are provided incentive amounts in their bank accounts in two installments, as per the provisions and the rules.
