Chhattisgarh has been commended by the Central Government for the efficient and effective utilization of funds allocated under capital expenditure for infrastructure development. As a result, the state will soon receive an additional allocation of ₹1,874 crore. This amount will be used for infrastructure development and other key projects in the state.

Understanding Capital Expenditure (CapEx):
Capital expenditure refers to funds allocated for the creation of infrastructure, new assets, and long-term development in a state or country. It is included in the budget to ensure government funds are utilized for the construction and development of essential infrastructure such as roads, transportation, health, education, and industries.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the Chhattisgarh government’s goal is to strengthen infrastructure and accelerate the state’s overall development. For the financial year 2024-25, a provision of ₹17,000 crore has been made under capital expenditure. This amount is being spent on roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, industrial projects, and irrigation schemes. The additional ₹1,874 crore allocation from the Center will further help implement new projects, create employment opportunities, and strengthen the state’s infrastructure.
