Chhattisgarh to Play a Leading Role in the National Semiconductor Mission: CM Sai

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the poster and official website of the upcoming national symposium titled “Make-in-Silicon: National Symposium on Enabling Indigenous Semiconductor Infrastructure” at the Chief Minister’s residence office in Raipur. This symposium is an initiative to give new momentum to India’s Semiconductor Mission and to strengthen indigenous technological capabilities in the country.
Prof. Omprakash Vyas, Director of IIIT-Naya Raipur, informed the Chief Minister that this national symposium will be held on 7–8 November 2025 at IIIT-Naya Raipur. It will bring together experts, industry representatives, academicians, and policymakers from across India. The primary objective of the symposium is to formulate a solid strategy to strengthen India’s domestic semiconductor ecosystem.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh will contribute wholeheartedly to the National Semiconductor Mission. He stated that youth, academic institutions, and industries must come together to innovate and take a leadership role. According to him, indigenous semiconductor infrastructure is the foundation of India’s digital and economic strength. The event aligns with the vision of the Government of India’s “Semiconductor India Mission” and Chhattisgarh Government’s commitment to technological self-reliance.
He added that such initiatives will prepare the youth to compete on a global scale.
On this occasion, Dr. Manoj Majumdar, Dr. Deepika Gupta, and other members of the organizing committee were present.
