Chhattisgarh is richly endowed with natural resources, including minerals and forests. As a result, there are immense opportunities for development not only in agriculture but also in industries and other sectors. What is needed is to effectively utilize our existing potential and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the state and the nation.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai shared these thoughts while addressing budding entrepreneurs from Dantewada at the IIM campus in Naya Raipur. It is noteworthy that a batch of 50 young individuals from Dantewada district is currently undergoing entrepreneurship training at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The Chief Minister wished all the trainees a bright future and expressed confidence that this training would prove to be highly effective in building their careers and improving their lives.

CM Sai stated that when a young entrepreneur realizes their dreams, they become a source of inspiration and opportunity for many others. “It is heartening to see that all of you are from the Bastar region and are progressing in the field of entrepreneurship. Today, Bastar is being seen as a region full of potential. You have learned important aspects of entrepreneurship during this training—now put them into action and start your enterprises. The government will extend all possible support,” he added.

The Chief Minister further said that Chhattisgarh not only has favorable conditions for agriculture but also for industrial development. Keeping this in mind, the state is consistently promoting innovation, research, and entrepreneurship for holistic development. In this direction, the state has launched the New Industrial Policy 2024–30, whose core principle is: “Minimum Governance, Maximum Support.” Under this policy, the process of setting up industries has been simplified through the Single Window 2.0 system, making it easier to obtain all necessary clearances.

The new industrial policy identifies the relatively underdeveloped regions of Bastar and Surguja as priority investment zones to ensure their rapid development.

The Chief Minister also shared that the new policy provides special grants for setting up industries in Bastar. A detailed development roadmap for Bastar was prepared last month, outlining strategies for key sectors such as agriculture, forest-based enterprises, and tourism. Bastar now enjoys improved connectivity, enabling entrepreneurs to easily access markets across the country. A robust road network is accelerating the pace of development.

During the interaction with the Chief Minister, the youth appeared highly enthusiastic and shared their experiences. Among those present were Shri Chandrakumar Sahu from Bade Bacheli, Shri Abhishek Gupta from Kirandul-Bailadila, Shri Aniruddh Kumar from Bacheli, Shri Tejaswi Kumar and Shri Neelam Pandey from Bijapur, Ms. Shilpa Kumari from Bacheli, and Shri Rakesh Yadav from Dantewada—along with a total of 50 young entrepreneurs.
