Chhattisgarh is Emerging as a Favourite Film Destination: CM Sai

Raipur, April 6
On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today launched the trailer of the Chhattisgarhi family film Suhag at his residence office. He congratulated and extended his best wishes to the entire team, including the film’s actor, MLA, and Padma Shri awardee Shri Anuj Sharma.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that after a long time, a family film is coming to Chhattisgarhi cinema, which beautifully expresses the emotional depths of family, culture, traditions, and relationships. He mentioned that this film vividly portrays our traditional lifestyle and values, which not only emotionally connect the audience but also link them to their social environment.
Shri Sai also highlighted that Chhattisgarh is emerging as a favourite film destination. Films and web series are being made continuously here, and the state government is determined to promote film production, offering new opportunities for the youth interested in this field.
MLA and actor Shri Anuj Sharma provided a detailed overview of the film’s theme and message to the Chief Minister and informed him that the film will be released in theatres across the state starting from 18th April. He also invited the Chief Minister to watch the film. The film’s producers, Shri Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Mrs. Vatsala Saurabh Sharma, co-producer Shri Loknath Diwan, writer and director Shri Rahul Thawait, and Shri Siddhant were also present at the event.
It is noteworthy that the film Suhag – “Wachan Mein Bandhe Maya Ke Kahani” is a sensitive family drama, featuring Chhattisgarhi cinema superstar Shri Anuj Sharma and actress Miss Anikriti Chauhan for the first time together. Shri Anuj Sharma’s performance in the film is being praised for its naturalness, depth, and emotional impact.
On this occasion, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Kesh Shilpi Kalyan Board Miss Mona Sen, Chairperson of State Social Welfare Board Mrs. Shalini Rajput, Vice Chairperson Mrs. Chandrakanti Verma, and Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Telghani Development Board Shri Jitendra Kumar Sahu were also present.
