Chhattisgarh has immense tourism potential: Secretary Anbalgan

A meeting for tourism promotion, chaired by Secretary Anbalgan P., was held today to promote ethnic and eco-tourism in Chhattisgarh.
“It’s heartening to see your commitment to tourism promotion. The convergence of ethnic and eco-tourism stakeholders is auspicious for tourism development,” Secretary Anbalgan stated:
On the occasion, the key issues discussed were 2020 Tourism Policy to be revised, focus on value tourism over mass tourism, strengthening information networks, stakeholder participation in international events and homestay guidelines to be framed.
Managing Director of Tourism Board Vivek Acharya, emphasized that Chhattisgarh Tourism Board aims to provide facilities to tourists and stakeholders. An interactive portal and mobile app are being developed.
“A booklet on film policy is being prepared. Local tourism significantly contributes to promoting Chhattisgarh’s culture and local economy,” added Acharya.
Representatives from Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association, Hotel Association, and home stay owners shared valuable suggestions and highlighted practical challenges. The meeting aimed to boost tourism in Chhattisgarh, with officials from Chhattisgarh Tourism Board in attendance.
