Chhattisgarh Government’s Gift to Government Employees, Order Issued to Increase Dearness Allowance to 53 Percent

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s government has fulfilled its promise to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees to 53 percent, providing a gift to millions of state government employees before the Holi festival. It is noteworthy that Cabinet Minister Shri OP Choudhary, in the Chhattisgarh government led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, announced the increase of DA to 53 percent for government employees in the annual budget for the year 2025-26 in the Legislative Assembly on March 3. In compliance with the said announcement, the finance department has issued an order to increase the dearness allowance of government employees.
According to the issued order, an order has been issued to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees by 3 percent, bringing it to 53 percent. Employees working in the seventh pay scale will receive a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance, now receiving 53 percent DA, while employees in the sixth pay scale will receive a 7 percent increase, now receiving 246 percent DA. This increase will be effective from March 1, 2025, and will be paid in April along with the salary for March 2025.
