Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the security forces for their major success in an encounter between the security forces and Naxalites in the Upmapalli area of the Kerampal Police Station region in Sukma district today.

Chief Minister Shri Sai described this daring operation as a symbol of the security forces’ bravery, strategy, and determination. He stated that in the fight to eliminate the inhuman Naxalism, our security forces are entering the strongholds of the Naxalites and working to eliminate them at the root. This success is the result of the unparalleled courage and dedication of our brave soldiers. I salute their bravery. It is noteworthy that 17 Naxalites were confirmed dead in the encounter, while two members of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) were injured. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai prayed to God for the swift recovery of the injured soldiers.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this operation is part of the efforts being made under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah towards a Naxalism-free India. He reiterated that our goal is to make Chhattisgarh completely free of Naxalism by 31 March 2026. This is a decisive turn, and we are moving swiftly in this direction. Under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Chhattisgarh will soon be completely free from the scourge of Naxalism. Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that the government is committed to peace, development, and restoring trust in Naxal-affected areas.
