Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said resistance to change in the economy as existed in the past is disappearing and the economy is transforming in the country.
Speaking at a function organised by the FICCI in New Delhi today, Mr Jaitley said, due to the change in the nature of the economy, the conventional industries and business also undergo a change. Mr Jailty also said, innovative ideas have contributed to the expansion of the economy. He said, the Indian Women Entrepreneurs have the capability to create new business.
On the occasion, the Finance Minister also released Ficci Ladies Organisation, FLO Gender Parity Index which is toolkit to evaluate gender diversity and women empowerment in the formal sector.
Mr Jaitley also presented FLO ICON Awards to some eminent personalties including Mahavir Singh Phogat, who is a Dronacharya Awardee.
