ADB, ISA inks pact to promote solar energy deployment in Asia & Pacific

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the International Solar Alliance (ISA) today signed a cooperation arrangement to promote solar energy deployment in Asia and the Pacific.

The cooperation envisages solar power generation, solar based mini-grids and transmission systems for integrating solar energy into grids.

Finance Ministry in a release said, the objective of the agreements is to deepen their cooperation in support of Renewable Energy.

Speaking on the occasion, Power Minister R.K. Singh said, the ISA has potential to have a huge impact on future of planet. He highlighted that solar energy was the future.
