Budget to Accelerate Chhattisgarh’s Development – CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, March 3

The Chhattisgarh Budget 2025-26 has been designed to meet the state’s present needs while preparing its infrastructure for a developed future. This budget will accelerate Chhattisgarh’s growth, strengthening its agricultural economy while laying a solid foundation to transform the state into an industrial and IT hub.

Reacting to his government’s second budget in the Chhattisgarh Assembly, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated:

“Under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, we have set a goal to make Chhattisgarh a developed state. To achieve this, we must modernize our economy, and this budget focuses entirely on that.”

He added that his government inherited a struggling economy and misgovernance, but through fiscal and administrative reforms, public welfare programs were revived. Now, with triple-engine governance, development is back on track and will accelerate further through budgetary provisions.

Budget from GYAN to GATI
The 2024-25 budget laid the foundation for an inclusive, developed India by prioritizing the poor, youth, farmers, and women. Innovative schemes launched last year have yielded positive results, and now, the 2025-26 budget builds on that momentum with the theme “GATI for GYAN” (Speed for Knowledge).

CM Sai elaborated:

“‘GATI’ represents good governance, rapid infrastructure expansion, greater use of technology, and industrial growth. This budget ensures all of these goals are met.”

Big Dreams, Concrete Strategies for Chhattisgarh’s Growth
CM Sai emphasized that his triple-engine government has ambitious development plans and is working at full speed to implement them.

Honoring Atal Bihari Vajpayee in his centenary year, the state has declared 2025-26 as ‘Atal Nirman Varsh’ (Atal Construction Year). Vajpayee envisioned a developed Chhattisgarh, and his dream of river-linking will now be realized.
