In consonance with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Bhoramdeo Corridor project is envisioned as a “confluence of religious faith, cultural pride, and tourism development.” Upon completion, the Bhoramdeo region is expected to emerge as a world-class tourism destination, thereby strengthening the local economy and creating new employment opportunities for the region’s youth.
Under the project, historical and cultural sites stretching from the main Bhoramdeo Temple to Madwa Mahal, Cherki Mahal, Ramchua and Saroda Reservoir will be interconnected, conserved, and developed in an integrated manner. A joint action plan for this has been prepared by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Department, the Archaeology Department, and the Kabirdham district administration.
As part of the development of the Bhoramdeo Temple complex, six aesthetically designed entrance gates will be constructed at the main temple, with the Nagdwar as a key highlight. The project also includes construction of a modern, well-equipped museum, a pillar hall, landscaped gardens, a children’s park, a prasad mandap, ritual and yajna buildings, and new stairways.
The temple pond will be beautified, and a musical fountain will be installed to further enrich the spiritual and visual experience of visitors. Facilities such as accommodation domes for devotees, shaded pathways, a stage, and a bhandara building are also proposed. In addition, comprehensive infrastructure works, including entrance gates, boundary walls, drinking water supply, electricity, drainage systems, plantation drives, and road upgradation, will be undertaken across the entire temple complex and nearby heritage sites.
