Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has stated that Bastar is changing—now, it is not the smoke of guns and gunpowder, but a breeze of development and trust that is flowing here.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government’s “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025” and humanitarian campaigns like “Poona Margem: Revival Through Rehabilitation” have lit the lamp of hope in the hearts of those who had strayed onto the path of “Red Terror.”
Chief Minister Shri Sai announced that today, 16 Maoist cadres in Narayanpur district have taken the courageous decision to abandon the path of violence and return to the mainstream. A total reward of ₹48 lakh was declared on these surrendering cadres. They have now chosen a new path of peace, education, and a life of dignity.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the people’s trust in the state government’s policies has increased, and the steadfastness of the security forces has established an environment of development and confidence.
Chief Minister Shri Sai mentioned that in the last 20 months, a total of 1,837 Maoists have abandoned the path of violence and joined the mainstream. This change is a testament that the policies of the “Double Engine Government” are not only bringing peace but are also guiding Bastar toward a new era.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai concluded that the state government’s objective is not merely to end Naxalism, but to bring the light of development, education, and self-reliance to every village in Bastar.
