Bastar is changing from Fear to Trust: CM Sai

Raipur, March 30
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the security forces for the surrender of 50 Naxalites at once in Bijapur district. He said that the positive outcomes of the Chhattisgarh government’s new Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025 are now clearly visible on the ground.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that people who were trapped in the Naxalism web are now abandoning their weapons and returning to the mainstream of society, which is a welcome change. Our government is committed to the rehabilitation of anyone who chooses the path of peace, leaving behind red terror.
The Chief Minister also reiterated that this success is the result of the determination of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to completely eliminate Left-wing extremism by 2026.
Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that the construction of roads in remote areas under the Niyad Nella Nar scheme, along with the establishment of schools and hospitals, has ignited a flame of trust and hope towards the government in the Bastar region. He further added, “This is not just surrender, but a return of trust. Those who were once symbols of fear are now becoming symbols of hope for the future. Chhattisgarh is now moving forward on the path of peace, development, and new consciousness.”
The Chief Minister also mentioned that in line with the resolution of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the elimination of Left-wing extremism by March 2026 is certain. Under the double-engine government, over 2,200 Naxalites have been arrested or surrendered, and more than 350 Naxalites have been killed so far.
Chief Minister Shri Sai further stated that through the continuous establishment of new security camps, road construction under the Niyad Nella Nar scheme, and the expansion of education and health services in the remote areas of Bastar, people’s trust in the government has increased. Our government is dedicated to the rehabilitation of those who have abandoned red terror and chosen the path of peace.
