As per Chief Minister’s Instructions, ₹22.31 Crore Released for Development Works in Districts under Bastar and Surguja Development Authorities

Following the directives of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department has approved a total of ₹22.31 crore for development and construction works in the districts under Bastar and Surguja Development Authorities.

According to the issued order, ₹11.79 crore has been allocated to the Bastar Development Authority, while ₹10.52 crore has been sanctioned for the Surguja Development Authority.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is the chairman of both the Bastar and Surguja Development Authorities. Under the Bastar Development Authority, funds have been distributed among six districts as follows: Kondagaon – ₹5.34 crore, Bastar – ₹3.20 crore, Kanker – ₹1.83 crore, Bijapur – ₹51 lakh, Narayanpur – ₹24 lakh, and Sukma – ₹67.50 lakh. Similarly, under the Surguja Development Authority, six districts have been allocated funds: Balrampur – ₹2.25 crore, Surajpur – ₹1.73 crore, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur – ₹1.89 crore, Jashpur – ₹1.66 crore, Surguja – ₹1.99 crore, and Korea – ₹1.01 crore.

These funds will be utilized for various development projects in the respective regions. The allocated amounts will support the construction of CC roads, bridges, culverts, drainage systems, expansion of drinking water facilities, borewell drilling, and installation of hand pumps. Additional works include constructing toilets in marketplaces, platforms in ponds, community and cultural buildings, performance stages, platforms, crematorium sheds, school and hostel buildings, extra rooms in ashrams, boundary walls for girls’ schools, and improved health facilities through additional rooms in health centers and waiting areas for patient families. Moreover, the funds will support the establishment of drinking water facilities in hospitals.
