Around 7000 students participate in Prakriti Darshan programme

Nandanvan in Naya Raipur

Approximately 7,000 students from over 50 schools and 10 colleges in the state have participated in the “Nature Darshan” program organized by Nandanvan, Naya Raipur. This program is an innovative attempt to connect students with nature and wildlife. The primary objective of this program is to sensitize youth towards nature, raise awareness about environmental issues, and groom them to become responsible citizens.

During their visit to the Nandanvan Jungle Safari, students not only get an opportunity to understand the wonderful aspects of nature and biodiversity but also learn about the importance of environmental conservation and the challenges associated with it.

Collaboration with Azim Premji University: Nandanvan, in collaboration with Azim Premji University Foundation for Logical Security and other organizations, has developed various modules under the theme of “Forest of Life” and environmental education for students.

This program provides students with the opportunity to learn directly from experienced naturalists and wildlife conservationists. Additionally, it fosters a love for nature among the youth and inspires them to work towards solving environmental problems. This endeavor by Nandanvan is promoting environmental education and is a significant step towards connecting future generations with nature.

A fee of Rs. 50 for school students and Rs. 100 for college students has been fixed for this program.

Dhammashil Ganvir, the director of Nandanvan, said that their aim is to engage as many students as possible in this program and inspire them to understand the importance of nature and play an active role in its conservation. This effort not only encourages environmental consciousness but is also committed to contributing to the creation of a green and sustainable future.
