Another important announcement by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has been materialized by the State Government. An administrative sanction of ₹78 crore 15 lakh has been issued for the construction of buildings for the 9 new nursing colleges included in the state budget. Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary for this sanction. He said that this decision will give a new direction to nursing education in the state and help in preparing skilled human resources in the health sector.
An amount of ₹8 crore 68 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of each nursing college building. These new nursing colleges will be established in Dantewada, Baikunthpur, Bijapur, Balrampur, Jashpur, Raigarh, Dhamtari, Janjgir-Champa, and Nava Raipur (Atal Nagar). The establishment of these institutions will provide an opportunity for students in the remote and tribal areas of the state to receive quality nursing education, which will open new doors of employment for local youth and further strengthen the availability of trained human resources in the state’s health sector.
