Ahilyabai Holkar’s Significant Contribution to Women’s Education and Empowerment: CM Sai

During his visit to Korba district today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai unveiled a statue of Lokmata Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar at the Convention Center and announced that the center would be named in her honor. On this occasion, he also dedicated 66 development projects worth over ₹223.88 crores to the people of the district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore was a compassionate and just ruler. She made remarkable contributions in the field of women’s education and promoted women’s empowerment. She also restored and revived several important pilgrimage and religious sites across the country, giving them a renewed identity. He announced that the convention center would be made fully air-conditioned.
He also noted that during his previous visit to Korba six months ago, development projects worth over ₹600 crores were announced. Today’s additional ₹225 crore worth of development projects will further benefit the residents of the district.
The Chief Minister also spoke about initiating necessary steps for establishing an Aluminum Park in the region. As part of the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” initiative, he planted a sindoor tree on the convention center premises. He also visited a photo exhibition based on the life of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The event was also addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao and Industries Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan.

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, single-village tap water schemes in 11 villages
New Primary Health Centre buildings in 3 villages
New buildings/renovation for Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium Schools
Installation of 2.4 kW solar power plants in 47 hostels and ashrams
Major foundation-laying projects included:
100 TPD Solid Waste Management Project for Korba Municipal Corporation
City Bus Depot-Terminal Complex under the PM e-Bus Service
Construction work at the 100-bed hospital, including an SNCU hall and training hall
Water conservation work at Ayodhyapuri Pond
Various projects under the District Mineral Foundation Trust and 15th Finance Commission
Condolences on Plane Crash Victims:
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also expressed deep condolences for those who lost their lives in the tragic plane crash involving a flight from Gujarat to London. He paid tribute to the deceased and extended heartfelt sympathy to their families.
