Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has stated that as a result of the state government’s effective rehabilitation policy, the continuous operations of security forces, and the expansion of developmental works, the dream of a Naxal-free Bastar is fast becoming a reality, and the vision of a Developed Chhattisgarh is clearly taking shape.
Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that 15 armed Maoists active in the border areas of Mahasamund district decided to shun the path of violence today and return to the mainstream of society. Expressing their faith in democracy, they have embraced the path of security, development, and a peaceful life.
Key Details of the Surrender:
* Composition: The group of surrendered Naxals includes 9 women and 6 men.
* Bounty: A combined reward of ₹73 lakh had been declared on them.
* Significance: Their surrender with weapons is a testament to the growing trust of misled youth in the policies of Good Governance (Sushasan), security, and development.
National Coordination and Vision:
Chief Minister Shri Sai credited the decisive progress in eliminating Naxalism to the capable leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. He emphasized that the state government, in coordination with the Center, is rapidly expanding security, basic infrastructure, education, health, and livelihood opportunities in Naxal-affected regions.
