The Government of Chhattisgarh’s Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025 and Niyad Nella Naar Yojana have sparked a quiet revolution in the Bastar region, transforming it from a land scarred by decades of insurgency into one of hope, dialogue, and renewal. These initiatives, aimed at offering Maoist cadres a dignified return to the mainstream, are rekindling faith among those once trapped in a cycle of violence.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that under the campaign “Poona Margam – From Rehabilitation to Rebirth” in Bijapur district, 51 Maoists carrying bounties totaling ₹66 lakh laid down their arms. Each of them, he noted, has expressed faith in the Constitution and pledged to live a life of dignity within the democratic system.

“This step is evidence that Bastar is moving beyond the darkness of fear and violence, entering a new era of peace, trust, and progress,” CM Shri Sai said. “The government’s sensitive policies and humane approach have emerged as the driving forces behind this transformation. We firmly believe that dialogue is the only lasting solution to this issue.”

Chief Minister Shri Sai added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the nation is advancing rapidly toward the goal of a Naxal-free India. He reaffirmed that the Government of Chhattisgarh is working with full commitment and compassion in this direction.

Appealing to the people of the state, CM Shri Sai urged every citizen to participate in this journey of transformation so that “every village of Chhattisgarh becomes a symbol of peace, progress, and harmony.”
