Raipur, 27 September

A training program on “Digital Productivity Enhancement and AI Integration” was held at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur. Organized as an initiative of the state government, the training is aimed at equipping government officials and staff working in the secretariat with the latest technologies and applications in Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve the speed and efficiency of administrative tasks.

During the training, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing digital productivity to support responsible governance. On the first day, they received hands-on training on advanced features of MS Word, Google Docs, Excel, and Google Sheets, along with applications of data modeling.

In his address, Mr. Avinash Champawat stated:

“Skill enhancement is a continuous process that refines both personality and work culture. AI-based training is a milestone in capacity building, and I encourage participants to take full advantage of it.”

“AI tools play a crucial role in enhancing government efficiency. The successful implementation of systems like e-office demonstrates how effective use of technology can make governance more transparent and accountable.”

Prof. Dr. O.P. Vyas, Director of IIIT, addressed the workshop and emphasized the need to be aware and cautious while using AI.

“We must begin with practical applications and develop a habit of continuous learning to become more AI-friendly. Data security is vital—sensitive information should not be shared with AI systems to prevent misuse in the public domain.”

Prof. K.G. Srinivas assured participants of the high quality and outcome-oriented nature of the training.

In the first phase of this training, over 100 officers and staff from departments such as General Administration and Home are participating. The training runs from 24 September to 25 October 2025.
