Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the State Government’s new Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025, along with the Niyad Nellanar Scheme, has instilled fresh hope and trust across Dantewada and the entire Bastar region. People misled by the false promises of Maoist violence are now embracing the path of peace and development.
CM Sai said that influenced by ongoing operations such as “Poona Maargem” in the Bastar division and “Lone Varratu” in Dantewada district, 71 Naxals have recently surrendered. Among them, 30 carried rewards ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹8 lakh, totaling ₹64 lakh.
“Such a large number of surrenders is direct evidence of the effectiveness of our policies and the growing public trust,” the CM remarked.
Support and Rehabilitation
The Chief Minister shared that the surrendered Naxals were each given incentive cheques of ₹50,000 to help them begin a better life. They will also receive all necessary facilities under the state’s anti-Naxal policy.
He emphasized that due to the government’s public welfare schemes and the trust-building environment, more than 1,770 Maoists have already returned to the mainstream.
“The double-engine government is fully committed to completely eradicating Naxalism by 31 March 2026 and providing respectful rehabilitation and improved lives to those who surrender,” he added.
“Bastar is Transforming”
CM Sai said:
“Bastar is changing, and the dark shadow of Naxalism is lifting. This transformation is a strong indicator of a brighter, peaceful future for the region.”
