Yadav held a review meeting with officials of the Samagra Shiksha Department at the Ministry

School Education, Village Industries, Law, and Legislative Affairs Minister Mr. Gajendra Yadav held a detailed review meeting today with officials of the Samagra Shiksha Department at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. The meeting reviewed the ongoing educational schemes, programs, and activities in the state. Minister Mr. Yadav stated that the primary objective of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan is to ensure quality education for every child. All officials must work with seriousness and responsibility toward this goal.
He issued clear directives to improve the quality of education in all government schools across the state, enhance students’ academic achievements, and ensure the availability of basic facilities. Minister Mr. Yadav emphasized that improving the quality of education is the state government’s highest priority. Any kind of negligence, corruption, or irresponsibility will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Senior officials from the Samagra Shiksha Department were present at the meeting.
Expressed displeasure over irregularities in vocational teacher recruitment
The Minister expressed strong dissatisfaction over the large number of complaints received regarding the recruitment of vocational teachers. He stated that any form of financial dealings in the recruitment process will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty. He directed the police to investigate the matter.
Strict stance on corruption and negligence
Minister Mr. Yadav warned officials that a policy of zero tolerance towards corruption will be implemented. He stressed that materials distributed to students must be of the highest quality. He instructed that suppliers providing substandard or inferior materials should be blacklisted. Emphasizing financial discipline, he said that the budget should be used appropriately and on time, and utilization certificates should be submitted to the Government of India promptly so that the next installment of grants can be received on time by the state.
In the meeting, School Education Secretary Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi and Managing Director of Samagra Shiksha Mr. Sanjeev Jha provided a presentation on schemes and activities. Minister Mr. Yadav emphasized the importance of innovation and the use of technology to improve the quality of education. He instructed that facilities like smart classrooms, digital learning tools, science laboratories, and libraries be used to their full potential so that students can benefit from modern educational practices. He also directed an increase in the use of online courses, digital study materials, and educational applications to enhance the quality of education.
The meeting included a detailed review of academic achievements of students from classes 9 to 12, development of vocational skills, making education more employment-oriented, inclusive education, Balwadis (early childhood centers), sports and physical education, annual school grants, NIPUN Bharat Mission, reintegration of dropout students, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, the National Innovation Campaign, PM SHRI schools, Vidya Samiksha Kendra, the Chief Minister’s Education Quality Campaign, and activities related to the Silver Jubilee celebrations.
Minister Mr. Yadav instructed that safety in hostels, girls’ hostels, and Pota Cabins be given the highest priority. Referring to the recent incident in the Pota Cabin at Pakela (Chhindgarh Block), where a poisonous substance was mixed into the food, he said that such incidents seriously damage the image of the administration. Therefore, proper responsibility and security arrangements must be ensured.
