Sai Celebrates His Birthday with Little Smiles Announces ₹10 Lakh Grant for Girls’ Shelter Home

Raipur, 21 February

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai celebrated his birthday with simplicity at the Government Girls’ Shelter Home in Khamhardih, Raipur, sharing joyful moments with young children. By spending his special day with these little smiles, CM Sai sent a strong message that true leadership lies in being a part of every section of society’s happiness.

CM Sai cut a cake with the girls, spent time with them, and listened affectionately to their innocent laughter and conversations. During the visit, the children expressed their small wishes, including a request for a soundbox. The Chief Minister immediately fulfilled this request by gifting them the soundbox. Additionally, he announced a grant of ₹10 lakh for the shelter home to provide computers, a water cooler, and other necessary facilities to ensure the girls’ education continues smoothly.

CM Sai Shares Memories of His School Days
On this occasion, CM Sai reminisced about his school days. He shared that his village’s primary school had a thatched roof, which would leak during the rainy season. He told the girls that they were fortunate to have a better hostel and a conducive learning environment. Encouraging them to study with dedication and hard work, he emphasized that education is the key to success.

Using examples from the lives of great personalities around the world, CM Sai inspired the children to turn challenges into strengths rather than fearing them. He assured them that the state government would provide all possible support for their bright future.

Notably, the shelter home currently houses 57 girls, who receive free accommodation, food, education, and medical care under the Women & Child Development Department.

The event was attended by MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Women & Child Development Secretary Smt. Shammi Abidi, Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, and other officials.
