Peace Committee Meeting Held with Christian Community in Civil Lines, Raipur

A peace committee meeting was held at the Civil Lines auditorium in Raipur under the chairmanship of Deputy Inspector General and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Raipur, Dr. Lal Umed Singh, and SSP Baloda Bazar, Mr. Vijay Agrawal. The meeting was attended by office bearers of the Christian community and public representatives.

Prominent attendees included Arun Pannalal, President of Chhattisgarh Christian Forum; Vicky Pal and Amit Das from the Church Committee; Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Vishrampur, Mrs. Archana; and Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Ganeshpur, Mrs. Reshu Masih, along with other distinguished citizens.

Special Discussion on Peace and Security Arrangements for March 1
The meeting included a detailed discussion on ensuring social harmony, peace, and security arrangements in Christian-dominated areas such as Vishrampur, Ganeshpur, and Jhankpur on March 1, 2025.

SSP Raipur, Dr. Lal Umed Singh, informed that a controversial social media post related to these villages had been circulating recently. The police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the matter. While the post might be fake, no conclusive evidence has been found yet. The police are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the facts.

The police administration urged all citizens to maintain social harmony, resolve differences amicably, and cooperate in upholding law and order. It was also assured that appropriate legal action would be taken to maintain peace and security in the region.

Strict Action Against Animal Cruelty
During the meeting, SSP Baloda Bazar Mr. Vijay Agrawal highlighted the strict actions taken against animal cruelty with the cooperation of local villagers. He stated that those found guilty under the Animal Cruelty Act would face severe legal consequences, and strict action would also be taken against those who support or protect such crimes.

Public representatives and office bearers were urged to remain vigilant and play an active role in spreading awareness against animal cruelty at the community level. Attendees pledged to take the necessary initiatives to prevent such incidents.

Demand for Increased Police Patrolling and Security Measures in Villages
During the meeting, public representatives and villagers demanded regular police patrolling and enhanced security measures in their villages to ensure a sense of safety among the residents.

Additionally, they requested special security arrangements during the board exams starting on March 1, 2025, to prevent any disruptions.

SSP Baloda Bazar, Mr. Vijay Agrawal, assured the villagers that police patrolling would be intensified, and flag marches would be conducted regularly to ensure security.

He emphasized that there should be no fear among the public and assured that all necessary measures would be taken to maintain peace, harmony, and law and order. He also guaranteed strict security arrangements during the board exams on March 1, ensuring that no disruptions would be allowed.
