CM Sai inspects departmental stalls at Tatapani Mahotsav

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today visited the stalls set up by various government departments at the inauguration of the Tatapani Mahotsav and closely observed the local art, culture, and impact of government schemes.
Chief Minister Sai met Shiv Mangal, a resident of Ara Gram, Rajpur, who has been working as a potter for 25 years.
Shiv Mangal said that getting an electric potter’s wheel has made it easier for him to make a living. His family earns 2-3 lakh rupees annually by making traditional earthenware. Shiv Mangal’s art was showcased at the festival, where a vibrant exhibition of earthen pots, kulhads, and other earthenware was set up. The Chief Minister appreciated him for promoting traditional art. During this, the Chief Minister also operated the spinning wheel, the symbol of self-reliance of Gandhiji, at the request of the weaver Saudan Singh.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is making every possible effort to promote self-reliance and self-sufficiency.
The Chief Minister inspected the theme-based stalls set up by 28 departments. These stalls showcased schemes like livelihood models, Amrit Sarovar, biodiversity conservation, organic farming, advanced agricultural techniques, flower cultivation, Solar Sujala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, traffic awareness, animal disease control, and Nalanda campus model. A live demonstration of making bangles and bracelets was showcased at the Shringar Sadan stall. A delicious food exhibition of local millet was set up at the millet cafe, while the tribal food stall showcased tribal traditions, musical instruments, bamboo artifacts, and a glimpse of Devgudi.
The Chief Minister said that through these exhibitions, efforts are being made to empower local communities and preserve their cultural heritage. Appreciating the stall operators and participants, he said that this event is a great medium to reach out to the common people about local art, culture, and government schemes.
