The Delhi High Court today rejected the bail plea of Sukesh Chandrashekar, the middleman arrested in the Election Commission bribery case allegedly involving sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dhinakaran and others.

He was arrested in April last year and Delhi Police had opposed his bail plea saying his conduct, even while in custody, had shown scant respect for the law and therefore, he should not be granted the relief. Chandrashekar’s bail plea has been rejected once by the high court and thrice by a trial court.

A charge sheet, filed by the police before the trial court in the case in July last year, had alleged that Dhinakaran and Chandrashekar had conspired to bribe the Election Commission officials to get the ‘two leaves’ symbol for their party.
