Raipur, January 9
A police team has arrested five cadres of the banned organisation in insurgency-hit Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
The arrested naxals were identified as Bajaru Rawat (45), Mangtu Nag (50), Arjun Yadav (34), Amru Potai (32) and Sukhlal Potai (27), said Narayanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Singh, elaborating that the arrested naxals were produced in a local court today.
Bajaru, Mangtu and Arjun were carrying cash reward of Rs 15000 each on their head, added SP Singh.
According to SP, the arrested rebels were involved in various crimes including firing on police team, attack on police camp, murder, arson and other. The arrested were actively passing information about movement of police to ultras, providing consumable items, gathering people for meeting called by ultras, propagating naxal ideology in the region and other.
